What’s the most annoying trope in books or movies?

For me, it’s when an entire problem could be solved by one simple conversation. 😂

You know the ones. Two people spend half the book angry, hurt, avoiding each other and making everything worse, and I’m sitting there thinking, “Would somebody PLEASE just tell the other person what happened?”

A good misunderstanding can make a story interesting. But when it goes on forever just because nobody will ask one obvious question, it drives me nuts. 😂
