What’s one thing you own that holds deep sentimental value?
For me, it’s my mother’s wedding rings.
To anyone else, they might look like ordinary pieces of jewellery. But to me, they’re so much more than that.
I think there’s something incredibly special about holding something that once belonged to someone you love. Those rings were part of my mother’s everyday life. They were there through the ordinary mornings, the family gatherings, the happy moments, and probably a few difficult ones too.
They were part of her story. And now they’re part of mine. It’s funny how the things we treasure most aren’t necessarily the things worth the most money. Sometimes it’s an old photograph, a handwritten recipe, a piece of jewellery, or something so ordinary that nobody else would give it a second glance. But we know its value.
My mother’s wedding rings remind me that the people we love leave little pieces of themselves behind in the things they once owned. And sometimes, simply holding one of those things can bring back a lifetime of memories.
I wouldn’t trade those rings for anything.
So today, I’m curious about something a little more personal.
What’s one thing you own that holds deep sentimental value, and what’s the story behind it?
With love
